| Title: | Implement the Audit Module (Data Integrity Module) |
| Abstract: | In any system, especially Information Management Systems, the integrity of data is vital for accurate information. Furthermore as OpenMRS is keeping medical records of patients, the need for accuracy is even higher. Therefore the main goal of building the Audit Module is to provide the administrator the possibility of monitoring the accuracy of data and thus ensuring the reliability of the data that is stored in the system. |

The world we are living in is devastated by the spread of numerous diseases that are hard to cure and even life threatening. This is even a greater problem in developing countries and as a Sri Lankan, I know the hardships the health community is facing in tackling these pandemics. The prevention and treatment of such diseases requires quality and up-to-date information management systems. Therefore OpenMRS can be a life saver for the poor countries that rely on stone aged systems to manage information about these diseases. The service OpenMRS is doing to this world is what mainly interested me in contributing to the development of this valuable system. In this proposal I am going to present how I plan on implementing an Audit Module (Data Integrity Module) for OpenMRS. |
